Cattle Dog (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young : : Medium
I'm called Gabi here at SWAT. I'm only 10 months old and I may tip the scales at a little over 25lbs. Reason for me being a SWAT dog? Well, I didn't ask to be...it just kind of happened. I was wandering a pasture one day, came across a group of calves and thought I would have a little fun. I'm supposed to be a working dog, right? So, I started working. I thought the people in the home would be pro
ud and give me a meal for my trouble. After a long afternoon's work, herding calves into a pond was not the right idea. Who knew? I tried. A neighbor saw what was happening and came to my rescue. She kept me safe by putting me on a tie out outside. That wasn't much fun...I couldn't go anywhere. She called SWAT and they got busy looking for a foster. In the meantime, I spent my time playing with the resident dogs, stalking the chickens and playing with the grand kids. When I finally came to SWAT, I have quickly learned chickens are NOT to be messed with. I can climb right over or under a chain link fence to get what I want. Well, I learned the hard way that we don't do that either. I have met the cat who lives here. I think he's pretty cool. Let's face it, I'm a Heeler. If I see something run, like a cat, chicken or a squirrel, I will chase it. It's what I do. With time and patience, I will learn to be the best, most well behaved dog ever. I'm just a puppy so there's room to improve! Fill out the application and we'll have a chit chat.
