I'm Dante. Life was really tough for me until my foster human found me. I was living in the woods, hungry, scared, eaten up with fleas and ticks, hot and very, very lost. I didn't know where I was going or where I would end up, until this human showed up. I was a little unsure at first, but then she offered me food and a soft bed. I was definitely keeping this human. The car ride was long and scary. I had never been in a car before, let alone sit in it while it moved. After  awhile, we stopped at a house. The human bathed me, fed me and doctored my many wounds from the awful ticks. I've been here for almost a week and I've really come out of my shell. First, I love to eat. That's my favorite thing to do on my long list of favorite things to do. I know the kennel is my safe place. When it's time to go to bed at night, that's where I go. I never make a peep. I love playing with the other dogs, the cats and I think I would like kids. I love the affection I get from the humans around here. In return, I give them kisses....lots and lots of kisses. I do like to chew so I would love a box of toys to keep myself busy when I'm not spending time with my humans. I did gnaw on my foster mom's flip flop....oops! I am learning to walk on a leash. That was a challenge at first, but I'm getting the hang of it. Aside from being a sweet boy, the humans are also calling me an Aussie mix. I'm only a year old and weigh maybe 25lbs at the most.
