What's 8 years old, furry, weighs 10lbs and adorable? Me, of course. I'm Daisy. I'm what you call a Miniature Long-Haired Dachshund. Don't let my size fool you...I protect this house from the birds AND the squirrels. Can you do that?? Well, maybe you can but not as well as I can. Anyway, here's my story. I've only lived with this family for a couple months. My Dad Person died and the family didn't know what else to do with me other than give me to a kill-shelter. Nice right? Well, SWAT swooped in and found me a foster family so I wouldn't have to be at the shelter anymore. Foster family turned into foster failures. Whatever that means, I just know this has been home for awhile now. I have six kids to play with (ranging from baby humans to teenagers) and I have a couple other dogs I enjoy spending time with. I have never tried to leave the yard or escape through the front door unless a leash is attached to my necklace. I make a really nice scarf in the winter...just lean back and let me climb to the back of your neck; that's one of my favorite places. I am still learning house rules, like how to let my new humans know when to let me outside. With time and patience, I will learn, I promise. I think that's all I can give you right now.
