My name is Cypress. I haven't been here all that long but they told me not to get to comfortable, this apparently is not forever! I heard them call me a "dump," looked it up, in the dog world, that means unwanted...jeez, I had no idea. They've moved on and so have I. Here's the low-down. I was "disposed of" out at the industrial district. They were going to "get rid" of me when a nice lady put me in her car and kept me for a few days before I came to the Love Shack. I've been moved to the BIG house because I am house trained, have some basic manners and, for a puppy, I'm really well behaved. I sleep through the night, use the doggy doors, get along with everyone and everything including the stupid chickens, ask permission to get on the couch, come when called and when I sneak out under the garage door I just sit there and think about sneaking back in (they have pretty good meals here). AKC calls the Whippet "affectionate, calm, playful." Yep, that's me...oh, I may be mixed with something else too, but it's something equally as wonderful. I am about a year old, and weigh about 36 lbs. You might notice in my pictures that I have a weird eye...that's why I'm VERY glad they didn't name me Columbo! Dr. Renee is going to checked it out when I was spayed.  She said I have a little scar on my cornea that will get smaller with time. Don't worry, it doesn't slow me down ONE BIT!  I hope it's my turn to find forever...call if you think that may be by your side.
