Heeerrrreeeessss Rocky! And here's a note from his foster mom. This guy was plucked off death row in Pawhuska. He was neglected, abused, shot at (and hit), shooed away and abandoned; but it didn't break him...it didn't even slow down his compassion for us pathetic humans. He loves us in spite of ourselves. Now that he's with SWAT, he has been plastered all over our page because we know if that one special person sees him and looks beyond his, well, physical not entirely h andsome exterior, they will see the sweet soul, the special spirit of this boy. Hey, we get it, he's not a Yorkie...shoot, he's not even a Labradoodle....he's just Rocky, a dog that wants so badly to be loved, to do good, to make his people happy. Everyone that comes by (not to adopt) falls in love and wants to take him home...but they can't and here he sits..with not one serious inquiry. He has been with us for awhile now and he's beginning to think that this is home. It's not. We have our two along with Rocky, Cooper, Belle Starr, Bambi, Rocket Man, Keenan, Keanu and Owen...That is the real tragedy of fostering, not having to let them go but having to keep them until they become comfortable and think that you are forever, only to find out you're not, you were just one more person that sent them packing. So, I'm putting this out there; don't dismiss him because he's not beautiful, if you could see inside, you would all be clamoring to adopt him...and I would be taking numbers.
The stats: He's between 1 and 2 yrs., 43 lbs., Boxer/Boston Terrier mix. He loves other dogs, cats, kids, swimming, running, watching soccer and being close. He is neutered, up to date with shots, micro chipped. His adoption fee is only $50 and that includes a micro chip  if you will love him and make him an important part of your family.
