Cooper here and here's my story: I'm young, about a year old, I am a Wire Haired Terrier mix, about 16 lbs. My sister and I were brought to a home in the country when we were just little. There were other big dogs there too. Si s and I were never allowed in the house like the big dogs, but we got food and could almost always find water. Those people, they were never really our family, packed the big dogs up, along with all their stuff and hit the road. Sis and I waiting on the porch for them for a really long time but they never came back. We found out that people throw lots of good stuff in these big barrels so one of us would jump up and knock it over and we'd grab whatever we could get before we got shooed or shot. Sis went out hunting for us one day and never came back. I missed her a lot and decided that I should just hang out on the old porch. I was really hungry and not doing too well, and then a woman that used to throw me scraps called SWAT. They hunted for me for a few days but I was smarter than them. It started storming (and I don't much like storms) so I hid in the nice ladies shed...and she TRAPPED me. SWAT showed back up...I showed my teeth, I growled and barked and acted like I was a bad dog but she just kept coming at me, and then she touched my ear! I was really going to be mad but it felt good having someone rub my ears so I decided to just let her...and then she picked me up! I was going to bite her on the nose but I decided to snuggle down and let her hold me for just a minute. She seemed like she could really use a hug. (The video is me getting rescued...it was pretty scary at the time). That's pretty much it, that's how I got to be a SWAT pup. I get to stay in the big house, eat twice a day, all the water I want to drink, other dogs to play with, people to hug me...life is good. I get to go to the vet on Tuesday and after that, I get to start looking for my very own family to hug me forever. If that might be you, give SWAT a call.
