Waylon, making his debut, just in time to be thankful that he's not still on the street, digging though trash for his next meal; although Friday's trash may be VERY interesting!
Here is Waylon's story in his own words:
I'm Waylon now. For several weeks, after my old fam dropped me off, I was "Get out of Here," "Scoot," "SCRAM!" none of those names stuck once SWAT showed up. Back to the old fam for a minute then let's never speak of them again. They dumped me off on Earbob Road, by the lake. The last thing they said to me was "good luck buddy." Not your buddy and guess what, when I find my NEW family, I'll never think of you again. Moving on... I'm Waylon. I've been to the vet, took a nap, woke up much smarter than I was before. I can sit, I know "NO" means "stop counter surfing, you won't have to miss another meal." I'm a little shy around new people but hey, they kicked at me, threw things at me, yelled at me. You'd probably be a little cautious also. It takes me a rub behind the ears and you are my new best friend. I get along with everyone, especially the guy here that feeds me...stand up guy, that one. I get up every morning and before anyone else wakes up, I head through the dog doors, do my business, then come in to get my makeup on for the day. Just a little eyeliner; nothing KISSish. I love to play with other dogs and will run and chase all day long. I have ZERO aggression. You can take a bone right out of my mouth, but I wish you wouldn't. I get along with the cat; I sniff him, he swats me, all in good fun. After just a week, I have great recall. I know my name and will come, so now I can walk off lead, run, jump, play with the rest of the pack. Cool! I'd like to find my new home before the BIG guy in red shows up, just so he knows where to find me. That may be with you. Put my name right here and I'll be in touch. Oh, have a HAPPY Thanksgiving if I don't talk with you before. I know I will because there is a LOT to be Thankful for! ~ Waylon
