How did I go from loved and cherished to being unwanted? I'm called Twinkle. I used to live in a home with a couple of elderly people. They loved me and I adored them. We were the happy "sit on the porch and watch the world go by" kind of family. They were my whole world and I was their's. One day, one of my favorite people disappeared and never came back. It was lonely with just the two of us, bu
t we held each other's spirits up. Then one day, my world came crashing down when he disappeared too. I was left with no one. My two favorite people in the whole world left me behind. Their family didn't know what to do with me so they handed me off to some neighbors. They didn't know my real name and I didn't know how to tell them so they called me Shadow. That family didn't have me for long...they never had time for me so they gave me to someone else. With all of the shuffling, I ended up wandering the neighborhood, lost and confused. Scraps were tossed to me daily. Neighborhood dogs sometimes stole my scraps and I let them. A lady did let me in her house and let me talk to the cats and other dogs, but it wasn't home. I hopped right over her little gate everyday to search for my two favorite people. SWAT got involved, asked a foster and they took me in. My foster mom says nothing but great things about me. I'm gentle, sweet, loving, housebroken and very friendly. I love all dogs, all cats and any treat offered to me. I can even sit up and reach for it. SWAT says I'm a white Shepherd with gorgeous green-ish eyes. I'm around 7 years old and only weigh 45lbs at the moment. I should weigh much more than that, but with some love and TLC I'll get to where I'm supposed to be. My foster mom says I give great eye contact and she also thinks I may have been an
"alert dog." I don't know what that means, but I'm pretty amazing, if I do say so myself.
