I'm Kiefer, the 5-6 month old, Redbone mix puppy. Mixed with what, you ask? Anything that's sweet and loving; those words all describe ME. How did I get to SWAT? Well, I arrived via "trap." I was living in a ditch for a couple weeks, all by myself. Humans tried to grab me, but I was to afraid. One day I looked out and there was a wire box sitting in the ditch with food inside. Who am I to say no to food, especially since I hadn't eaten in days. I ran into and then the door s lammed shut behind me. That was an unexpected and scary surprise. The SWAT human took me home and that's where I've been ever since. I have really come out of my shell since day one. I play with the other dogs, I visit with the cat, I talk to the chickens and I got to swim in a lake. I can even get the humans around here to play chase with me. All I need to do is find one of their shoes, pick it up, show it to them and the game is on. I run, they follow...it's a great game. One of my favorites, really. I'm learning lots of stuff from the older dogs here, like pottying outside. I think I'm doing alright so far. One step at a time. If you're looking for a partner in crime, I'm your puppy.
