Maggie here, checking in from SWAT. Some of you may have heard my story and how I got here...I was scheduled to be shot in the head because my family wanted a German Shepherd and I wasn't it. As the story unfolded, SWAT learned that I had a sister, Mollie that looked just like me. We were "rescued" at the same time. I don't know what happened to Mollie; one day she just disappeared. This is what my last humans said about me: "She's a Lab mix, she's rowdy, she's a fence c limber, she's not house trained, she can't learn anything, we don't love her and we don't want her." This is what I heard my SWAT humans say about me. "She doesn't have a DROP of Lab in her, more like a Pomeranian/Heeler mix, weighing in at only 19 lbs., she is curious about the cat but follows it at a distance, studying him. She doesn't bother the chickens, she has, not once, offered to go over the fence, she is completely house trained (no accidents since coming to the "big house") she has learned two new commands in two days (very smart), she uses the doggy door like a pro, she plays well with the other dogs and is a snuggler. She was not crate trained when she came but took to it well and sleeps through the night in her crate, she is the sweetest little girl...and will make someone the perfect new family member."
And here is what I have to say about myself: I am about a year old, spayed and now, up to date on shots. I'm just looking for a family that will love me. I want to learn stuff and after I find my forever, I will learn to trust my humans, I will snuggle them and we will have lots of good times together. I will be their best friend...EVER.
