My name is Beauty now but if you were around in February, you know me as Shyla. My mom was deserted in Langley by her family and she was pregnant with me and my sister, Little Red. That was in November of last year. My mom liked people but Red and I were afraid of them because, well, we just didn't know they could be nice. SWAT showed up with hot dogs and fed us. They got rid of our worms and f leas and ticks but we were still afraid so we wouldn't let them catch us. By May, my mom was pregnant again so she was going to the doctor to get "fixed," whatever that meant. We know now that when SWAT picked her up, they were going to get me and Red also...something about a trap. My mom's old family must have gotten word of it because he came back and shot my mom and Red right in front of me. I ran so he missed me. I was trapped and taken to a foster home where I'm still living. I've come a long way! I'm spayed, up to date on all my shots, I love people now and like to be close. I ride well in a car and I'm learning lots of manners. I've already learned not to potty in the house and I'm what my foster mom calls "crate trained" but I don't like it much. I'm about 9 months old now. Mama was a Black and Tan (like me) and my daddy is a Redbone (like Red). I'm going to put pictures of my mom and sister here too because I love them and miss them a lot. I think having a new family will help me be not so sad about my old one.
